Have you ever wanted to share your PowerPoint presentation online? There may be many ways to do it, but few of them are easy enough for anyone on your contact list to use. That's one of the reasons we made Save to Silverlight — a simple solution for putting your presentations online.

Save to Silverlight for PowerpointSave to Silverlight PowerPoint

The Save to Silverlight tool is a PowerPoint 2007 add-in that converts your pptx file into a Silverlight xap file. It is easy to use - just click Save to Silverlight in the PowerPoint "Save As" menu to produce a compact file ideal for posting to websites and intranets.

Features

This add-in provides a simple "Save As" option within Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. A walk through wizard helps you create a Silverlight player and xap file for web-ready presentations. Users can take their "print ready" presentations and make them available online.

Features include:

  • Web ready export
  • Full screen, windowed and compact player support
  • Player controls with forward, back, pause and per-slide navigation
  • Thumbnail views of slides
  • PowerPoint "Save As" menu integration
  • User defined player background colors
  • User defined slide delay
  • Scalable slides for multiple screen sizes

Requirements

There are a couple of dependencies for the plug-in to work and to see the results. You will need a genuine installation of Microsoft Office 2007 with PowerPoint and have Silverlight 2 installed on your machine to play the presentation afterward. You will also need the Save as XPS Add-in (Save to Silverlight will detect that and install it for you if necessary).

Requirements include:

  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
  • 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as XPS
  • Silverlight Version 2

Supported Operating Systems:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3
  • Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1
